To calculate overall Band Score (manually)
just follow below instruction.
1.
1st
you need to add your all Bands together, (for example: Your score in different modules
are as given….for reading-7.5, writing-8.0, listening-7.0,
speaking-7.0) So we will add all together (7.5+8.0+7.0+7.0=29.5)
2.
So
now you have your sub-total, which is 29.5 and you have 4
modules (Subjects)
3.
Now
you need to divide your sub-total (29.5) with 4 because
you have total 4 Subjects. (Example: 29.5 / 4 = 7.375)
4.
That
means your overall band score is 7, because your total is less
then 0.5.
Thank
you.
My friend got 7.375 and it was rounded to 7.5!! How come?

I work with many 'highly skilled' migrants. Doctors in fact. And I can assure you that the requirement for an English language test is entirely necessary. I think you'll find you have to sit the IELTS test if applying to work in the UK or US as well.
